What it's about Synopsis

Paris, at the beginning of the 20th century. The sought-after painter Antoine Balestro is convinced that he is to blame for his wife’s death and gives up painting. He attempts to make contact with the deceased through a medium and, in doing so, encounters a fairground performer who is a convincing fraud. When Antoine’s gallery owner discovers the deception, he hires her to reinforce his lucrative artist’s delusion that he is in supernatural contact with his wife.
